Bishopton Rugby Football Club have a Male 1st XV who play in the West Region 3 League and an every growing Ladies 1st XV team, who this season joined the SRU competitive set up.
We take the development, health and welfare of our players and members, at the top of our priorities. Each team is fully supported by the management committee and coaching staff. We are looking for a physiotherapist to cover our Male XV match days on Saturday’s, our Ladies XV on a Sunday and run a clinic once per week. We will consider a partial application for any of these requirements, if you are unable to support all.
We have a separate physio room which is available for use. This is an ideal opportunity for a physiotherapist wishing to consolidate his/her skills and gain experience working with sport related injuries.
We are looking for the following:
- The ideal candidate will possess strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Be available for Male XV matches on a Saturday and or, the Ladies XV matches on a Sunday (home & away) and attend with the teams.
- Carry out pre match assessments and supportive strapping.
- Assess the condition and initiate the timely removal of players for further medial assessment and treatment.
- Carry out any post-match physiotherapy assessment, treatment and advice as required.
- Complete compulsory SRU documentation and keep full professional clinical documentation on each player seen.
- Carry out physiotherapy clinics at the club once per week (currently Tuesday), including supporting players with rehabilitation programmes.
- Maintain first aid equipment and medical bag and advise committee on any medical equipment required.
- Communicate effectively with coaches and player on players fitness to return to play.
Qualifications:
- All applicants should be full members of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP) and HCPC registered
- All applications from new graduates will be considered. New graduates working towards their Bronze ACPSEM accreditation are preferred.
Remuneration based on match days and clinics supported.
