Why rugby?: Rugby has been a big part of my family and I wanted to carry on the tradition of playing the game. I recently moved nearby so I thought why not give it a try?
What motivates you to play: I want to prove that size really does not matter when it comes to playing rugby. The amount of negative comments I have received about my size and stature have really motivated me to prove to those people and others out there who doubt that anyone can do it. You need to believe in yourself and channel the negativity into determination to drive stronger and deeper than ever. My teammates (friends) also motivate me to play. Without them then it’s just no fun at all. It’s all about playing as one and coming together to be better in ourselves.
How long have you been playing rugby (and had you played before you joined the Bish?): Around 2 years now. I hadn’t played properly before joining Bishopton.
Favourite pre game soundtrack/song: The number one go to is INSOMNIA Tiesto remix. Great hype song.
Most memorable moment so far: There have been so many. Probably for me, scoring a few tries in the early days. The feeling of breaking a few tackles and just sprinting towards the line with everyone shouting behind you. As a team just playing together can create some lovely and truly special moments.
Favourite thing about playing for Bishopton? The family atmosphere. 100%. I have made some friends for life.
Favourite food: Probably macaroni and cheese with bacon…and garlic bread on the side of course.
Favourite drink: Sober? – Love fruit juice and smoothies of any kind. Not sober? – classy cocktails of course.
What colour are your boots?: Orange. Or if I am in serious game day mode then red and black.
If you were an animal, what animal would you be? Probably a bird but one quite high up on the food chain so I am not easy prey. A golden eagle maybe?
Who would you like to play you in a film? If I could say myself then that means I get all the millions the film would make. To make it interesting, I would say Margot Robbie…kick ass bad ass style.
