Why rugby?: I’ve liked watching and supporting rugby for some time now and was curious to give it a bash.
What motivates you to play: The camaraderie in the team. The fact that I had never properly played a team sport before. I was always rubbish at sport when I was younger. At school as there was no encouragement for anyone who didn’t fit the sporty stereotype. I really enjoy being part of a team and my only regret is that I didn’t have the confidence to get involved sooner.
How long have you been playing rugby (and had you played before you joined the Bish?): About a year and had never played before.
Favourite pre game soundtrack/song: I’ve got a playlist affectionately named “get intae them” with songs such as Heads Will Roll by the Yeah Yeah Yeahs and Killing in the Name of by RATM (I’m not crazy or anything)…but my guilty pleasure hype song is Superstar by Love Inc.
Most memorable moment so far: I think my most memorable rugby moment is yet to come, but I liked the feeling of thinking I had scored a try, I soon came back to earth when I realised I was actually on the 5m line…I probably won’t live that down. My time will come!
Favourite thing about playing for Bishopton? The team are brilliant. There is such a mix of women, all ages and personalities but we have such a lot of fun.
Favourite food: All the food. Hmm, curry and toast. Not necessarily together, but definitely wouldn’t rule it out.
Favourite drink: All the drinks…enjoy a post-match Guinness but otherwise, coffee and gin rank quite highly. Would also fight you for a chocolate flavoured Yazoo.
What colour are your boots?: Yellow with a bit of pink
If you were an animal, what animal would you be? A quokka…with their little happy, smiley (yes, that’s correct) gormless baw faces. They also like to get in on a selfie.
Who would you like to play you in a film? Myself. If I’m not available, Emma Stone could maybe step up.
