Name: Beth McLeod

Age: 37

Position:  Second Row

Profession: Accountant

Why rugby?: My dad played, my kids started playing for Bishopton Minis and I’ve always been a rugby fan

What motivates you to play: It’s great to do exercise that’s actually fun and I’m quite competitive

How long have you been playing rugby (and had you played before you joined the Bish?): I joined Bishopton in January 2019 – best New Year’s resolution yet! I had never played before joining Bish but wish I’d started years ago; before I had kids so I could enjoy the post-match celebrations without having to get up early the next day!

Favourite pre game soundtrack/song: I’m usually too stressed before a game to listen to music!

Most memorable moment so far: There’s been so many but probably being part of the team when we won our first full competitive game

Favourite thing about playing for Bishopton? Being part of a great team of women who train hard but have a laugh at the same time.

Favourite food: Bacon Spaghetti – it’s a random family recipe

Favourite drink: Gin, Wine, Prosecco…I’m not fussy

What colour are your boots?: Blue

If you were an animal, what animal would you be? I’ve been described as a sloth before, by my brother
