Lorimers have had a long standing relationship with our club, having been sponsors for many years and always welcoming to the first team on match days be it win, loose or draw. With Lorimers being situated directly up from the club it is particularly hand for those supporters that are looking to partake in a meal before or after a match, the bar of the pub is also dog friendly so don’t be shy to bring your four legged friend along.

Situated in Old Kilpatrick the Glen Lusset has a friendly and energetic environment that caters to both those looking to have a sociable drink and a nice meal to boot. Though not local to the rugby club the Lusset is a rugby friendly pub that has on more than one occasion opened its doors for the club to come together and watch international matches, the Lusset was also the venue of our 2016-2017 club award presentations.

Cardiac Risk in the Young (C-R-Y) – First XV Sleeve Sponsor

 

After his sudden death from an undiagnosed heart condition, Matthew Seymour’s parents , Kenny and Doreen and brother Harry wanted to raise awareness of the charity CRY and decided to sponsor a sleeve on the new strips.

Every week in the U.K. 12 apparently fit and healthy young people die from an undiagnosed heart condition.
Most of these can be diagnosed by having an ECG and Matthew’s family want to work to continue providing cardiac screening for young people.

Bishopton Rugby Club have supported the work of CRY and have contributed towards the Matthew Seymour Memorial fund that has seen 400 young people screened for undiagnosed heart conditions.
