Bishopton Rugby Newsletter

September 2017

Dear Member,

Newsletter time, although the autumn tests didn't go Scotland's way, there's still been some exciting rugby played over the past few weeks. We also enjoyed a great turn out for both the quiz and ladies nights, thank you to all that attended. But, even as this half of the season draws to a close, we still have loads of things happening, read on to find out more...

Bishopton RFC - "rugby for all ages"

Building on our PCS

In November, I was privileged to present to over 12 Scottish Rugby clubs at Murrayfield, who are currently working towards their Positive Coaching accreditation. It was a fantastic opportunity to tell so many active rugby supporters, about Bishopton Rugby’s journey. From the day we launched our Junior section 4 years ago, with 11 children and 3 coaches, to now stand with 150 children and young adults, nearly 25 coaches and of course, countless parents actively supporting our club. PCS has played a major role in this journey, allowing us to define our self as a community club and to continue to teach children Rugby, in a fun and positive environment. As we move ever closer, towards our 200th junior member and our first Junior player to start for our Senior 1st XV, I believe PCS will continue to be the corner stone of our club. Allowing children to gain life skills, like greater confidence, ambition, discipline, fitness through fun, as well as playing the greatest team sport in the world.

Bishopton Rugby –

We believe every player can be great

We champion attitude over ability
