Welcome to this months online newsletter, it might be damp outside but we have plenty happening for you over the next few weeks to warm you up. Our "legendary" Quiz Night returns this Saturday and our "fantastic" Ladies Xmas Night the following Friday. And our midi's have been up to Scotstoun training with the Glasgow Warriors, read on to find out more...

Protecting Our Children

I would like to introduce myself and let you know about our commitment to safeguarding the welfare of all of the children who attend our rugby coaching sessions and any tournaments or games we participate inAt Bishopton Rugby Club, our Youth Coaches are committed to the attitudes and principles outlined in the our Child Protection and Good Practice document. As part of this, we welcome and encourage parents to play their part by attending matches and coaching sessions. Should any person have a concern, comment or suggestion that they wish to make in respect to the care and safety of children, then please don't hesitate to contact me.

bishopton rugby supports the glasgow warriors

Bishopton Trains with the Warriors


Glasgow Warriors players Stuart Hogg, Peter Horne, Mike Cusack and Andrew Redmayne were at Glasgow Warriors training ground on Tuesday to take a specialist training session after Bishopton RFC was announced as the winner of the inaugural 2013 QBE Rugby Pro competition in Scotland.

Junior Events / News

Sun. 20th Oct.We have removed the waiting list from the Micro section after consulting with its coaches. This does mean that parents might have to help with holding a pad or two!

Tue. 29th Oct. - P4 - P7 training has be moved to the astroturf at Park Mains High School throughout the winter months (trainers will be required)

Sun. 3rd Nov. - Micro training will move indoors at Park Mains High School until March 2014, this Sunday will be our last outdoor session (indoor clothes and footwear will be required)

Fri. 20th Dec. - The S1/S2’s will be going to Glasgow Warriors v Benetton Treviso, where the S1’s will participate in a Sevens tournament. 

We will be running a trip to Scotstoun for the Mini’s in the New Year.

Ladies Xmas Night - Fri. 1st Nov. 13

Following the great success of last year’s event we have decided to do it again! Tickets are £5 and include a glass of wine on arrival. Lots of local businesses selling great present ideas for Christmas or treats for yourself!

There will be a raffle – again any donations gratefully received!

Membership Fees 2013 / 14

This years membership fees are now due. Again we are pleased to say, these have remained frozen at last years prices including our continuing support for the FREE junior rugby.

Adult Player - £60.00     Unwaged / Student - £30.00     Non-Playing Membership - £40.00

Please contact Stuart Hunt with regards to your membership payment or any change to your details. If you require a gym membership, this can be separately organised by contacting the main sports and social club, this is currently priced at £40.
