Message from the President

We start this seasons rugby at Bishopton with our senior section gaining promotion to division 3. I know the players have been training hard over the summer to prepare for this new challenge. We have already seen the benefit of our pre-season training with us winning the Shield @ Bannockburn 10’s tournament in August. We also yet again had a very successful Training camp at Stirling and it was great to see so many of our Senior players there as well as some of the next generation of players in our U18’s. Our junior section is also back and it's great to see so many children down at Holmpark enjoying their rugby as well as a lovely social atmosphere for the parents. I wish all our players from 3 to 53 a great 2014-15 season and look forward to seeing you at Holmpark.

Bishopton Moving Forward

On Saturday 6th of September,  Ross McGowan became the first Bishopton Rugby player to move from our Junior section to play for our firsts. Ross has played at S1-2s, u15, u16 & u18.level before yesterday which allowed him to get one assisted try in our win over Shawlands. Ross has recently also stated as a Modern Apprentice with the SRU partially funded by the Bish.

The future is indeed bright
